How the TELC B1 exam works
The written exam takes about 150 minutes. Reading and Language Elements share one 90-minute clock, then come Listening and Writing. The oral exam is separate and happens in person.

You covered all four points, and your greeting and closing suit a letter to a friend. Watch the word order after “weil”: the verb goes to the end, as in “weil ich keine Zeit hatte”.

What is the TELC B1 exam?
The TELC B1 exam is a standardized German language proficiency test at the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). It certifies that you can understand and communicate in everyday German situations, and is widely recognized for residence permits, citizenship, and employment in German-speaking countries.

Do I need B1 German for German citizenship?
